Video response (The Piano, Kiwi, Twinkle Twinkle)
Today the grade 1s weren't available for teaching, so I had the grade 3s twice.
The video response was less than stellar in my opinion. The sentence forming ability is very basic in grade 3, while expectantly less in grade 2. It seems they either don't have the grammar to back up what they want to express, or they don't have very much to express in the first place. Either way, I'll probably need to get them to practice reading, not out loud, but more to understand the meaning. Hopefully a lot of practice will improve their grammar and their ability to write for themselves.
